Obituary:

Alan A. Stein, age 82 died Oct. 20th in Sun City AZ. Funeral services Sunday Oct. 26th, at United Hebrew Brotherhood Cemetery Chapel, with Rabbi Avrom Ettedgui officiating. Alan was born in Hibbing, MN where he grew up and graduated from Hibbing High School in 1943. He attended the Universities of Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin at Madison. He was a business owner for many years until he moved to Mpls., and later moved to Sun City, AZ. Alan was a devoted supporter of his synagogue, B'nai B'rith serving on it's National Board, and the Holocaust Museum. He was an avid reader and a current event enthusiast. He is preceded in death by his first wife Rose Klein and his second wife of 30 years, Betty Berman; parents, Louis & Gertrude Stein. Alan is survived by sisters, Etheldoris Grais, Tessy Oxman, Leone Altman; stepchildren, Marilyn Hedin, Marti Clemmensen, Golda Berman, and Allan Berman; many nieces and nephews; and 6 grandchildren. Memorials are preferred to B'nai B'rith, 715 Florida Ave., Golden Valley, MN 55426
